My brother and I started this company not too long ago. We’re entrepreneurs at heart, but we’re just like you. We love exploring other cultures and meeting amazing people. But there is always that fearful voice in the back of your head when traveling that says things like, “What happens if I get scammed, pickpocketed, robbed, or lose my wallet, cash, phone, credit cards, or passport?” We weren’t immune to that anxiety either. So before one our last backpacking trip to Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, we shopped everywhere for gear that would protect our valuables from thieves. We needed lightweight stuff that we could backpack with and It needed to be durable so it could hold up to repeated use in harsh conditions. We also value fit and form, so it had to be attractive. Essentially, we needed good looking, lightweight, reliable gear that would get us through airports, long flights, layovers, bus rides, sleeper train stays, and lots of wandering through cities and towns. All in all, we were disappointed in what we found. So what did we do? We started making what we needed. We made a slim and lightweight waist pack with RFID protection. We took our first samples on our backpacking trip and they held up through 20,000 miles of travel (from Vancouver to Tokyo, Saigon to Bangkok, Chiang Mai to Koh Lanta, Singapore to Manila, and all the way back) without one item lost or stolen and no scams on our credit card or passport. We knew there was something here. So we started Explore Now and began producing better travel gear. Just a couple years later and I’m glad to say we now have thousands of raving customers across the US! RFID Blocking Fabric Outer portion lined with lightweight metal RFID blocking material that keeps thieves from stealing your personal information while you’re wearing the money belt. Durable Metal Zippers Keep all your valuables stored securely inside your money belt, hidden under your clothes, with the help of secure metal zippers. Safely Conceal Under Clothes Hide under your base layer shirt, or under your sweater or jacket. Endless possibilities for storing valuables out of sight. Secure Locking Buckles Click together the buckles after wrapping straps around your waist and voila, you’ve got a secured waist pack that would be hard for any thief to unbuckle. Hidden Back Pocket Want some extra insurance for your valuable documents or phone? Store them in the hidden back pocket, so they’re touching your body and completely inaccessible by thieves. Super Slim & Lightweight Ditch the bulky fanny pack and choose hidden freedom with this slim design that lets you conceal valuables out of sight of any thief. Very lightweight so you’ll barely notice it’s there. Read more

I bought this specifically for my vacation to Las Vegas. I was willing to deal with the 'tourist' look and wear a fanny pack. I like that its water resistant, I wanted something that wouldn't get ruined if I had to bring it by the pool. I was very pleasantly surprised at how thin the belt was (Very good thing!!) It wasn't bulky at all, even with all my cards, cash, and phone. It sat nicely on my hip, and the elastic waistband was a lifesaver.Only reason I cant go with 5 stars, it broke 3 days into my vacation. The zipper pull detached, and while it can be fixed, that doesn't help while youre on vacation. They replaced it asap, and I cant knock them for that, I just hope this one lasts the whole vacation next time!I really liked the waterproof neck pouch, and it worked great for spelunking (both for keeping documents dry and for waterproofing the cell phone to use as a camera. Unfortunately, the plastic sides split open near the top by the end of our trip (we probably opened it a dozen times or so, thought we were being pretty gentle). The money belt seems built to last, but I actually only wore it once because of how uncomfortable it felt. It seemed like an okay fabric, just a tiny bit coarse to the touch of my hand, but drove me crazy when I wore it as a belt as intended--maybe I have sensitive skin? but I never have problems with clothing fabric... (We were in warm, somewhat humid weather, compared to some places--Costa Rica in the winter/dry season). I ended up using my old, broken one from a travel store (the belt part had come off, but we actually just sewed a shoe lace on and tied that...) I understand that it's difficult to make it both comfortable and not too sweaty, but my old broken one was MUCH more comfortable, even with a shoe lace rather than the elastic belt! Problem is that I missed the deadline for returning, so I am stuck with a broken pouch and a belt I will probably never use.I would recommend that if you end up buying this that you make sure to actually wear the belt before your trip, to make sure it doesn't irritate your skin. This worked well for my purpose. I bought it to hold my money, car keys, and cell phone while I was at an amusement the park. I wore it under my clothes. I had to have my cell phone on me because I was a chaperone on a school field trip. I was also riding rides and roller coasters with the kids because they paired the chaperones and children up in even numbers for this purpose. The straps were easy to adjust. It was hot that day and the bag did not protect my cash from getting nasty due to sweat. I was disappointed with that but it is a breathable bag. I did not use the 2nd piece which was the waterproof pouch because it was too thick and took up space in the bag.To be honest, this was for my husband to use on our first European trip. Naturallly he balked: why use this when we frequently travel to Latin America and need no particular safekeeping? After researching the pickpocket horror stories about certain European countries, he reluctantly agreed to use it. So, it was used, nothing untoward occurred (did anyone try? who knows?) and the product was light, convenient and easy to wear. We did not use the waterproof neck pouch - perhaps on another trip.I actually bought two sets of these. My friend and I used them on a trip overseas. I was worried about the zippers because of some of the reviews, but they worked just fine. We weren't so thrilled about the plastic pouch. Didn't seem like we could put anything in it, so it's pretty useless. The clip is one that you squeeze from the side and neither of us had any issues with it staying closed. This is a solid meh. The pouch portion isn't bad, although the band is very stretchy and weak; I expect that it'll go out fairly quickly. It's probably fine for documents and paper, but I wouldn't put anything with much more mass than a largish cell phone - even that'll put a lot of sag into the band. The compartments have several internal pockets, which is nice, but again, trying to put much of anything into them will cause problems. One warning: trying to send this back after you find out that it's not quite what you need will cost you about 1/3 of the of price of the item, so likely not really worth it. That's a bit of a major red flag in my book. I decided to keep mine, but I'm not exactly happy about it.ETA: Initially, I marked this a 3/5, but after trying it out for only one run, I have to mark it lower. The elastic belt is even cheaper than I previously thought and the pack continued to slip, no matter how much I tightened the strap. (My tablet is 376 grams, so perhaps this slight amount is more than the belt can handle -- hardly a massive load, however.) The teeth in the zipper started to warp after only a few times of opening the pouch, but that's OK, as the zipper pull came apart completely. This might be good for playing "secret agent" and pretending to smuggle a few bits of paper in an easy to detect hidden pouch that slips off your waist far too easily before it breaks completely, but I wouldn't use it to carry anything you actually value.I like the zippered pouch since it can breathe, and you don't get sweaty. I think the design could be improved just a bit if the black band was all the way to the top. As it is, the top part will fold down to the point where the black band is. I use it, but I'm thinking of removing the band and moving it up higher to get rid of what I consider a problem.Very convenient, loved that I could walk around hands free. With the built in RFID protection that gives me a little more peace of mind. Cash conveniently places as well as cards. Not heavy, loved that it fit firmly against me (meaning it layed flat). Not like rhe regular fanny packs with that bulge. I had some difficulty storing my phone in the back mesh part but nothing too terrible. Still good quality and convenient overall.
