This book should be compulsory reading in all high schools. In particular, Chapter 4, Smart Spending and Saving Strategies, and Chapter 5, Basics of Investing, need to be addressed by schools. The author is very conscious of his target audience and does not overdo the financial terminology while delivering a supportive tone and energy. What I got most out of the book, beyond all the important tips and strategies, is how the author emphasizes building a relationship with money. As the author references, normal friendships take time, patience, and effort; the same applies to money. If your high school lacks a financial management curriculum, this book will fill the massive void and wake your child up to the importance of starting early for retirement preparations—a critical book to add to your teenager's collection.
